How to become a Christian ~ To
become a Christian, a person must first realize that he or she is
"lost," totally estranged and separated from God by a sinful
nature. The Bible is the history of God's relationship with humankind.
A short book in the New Testament portion of the Bible entitled Romans
describes how a person can be become a Christian
and be saved for heaven. Here is clipped outline. A person -- any person -- cannot reconcile the his or her lost relationship with God. Only God can do this. Romans
6:23 The penalty of sin is death. To pay this penalty, God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, who lived an absolutely righteous life in perfect Love to pay the penalty of sin for us. Although humans through sin have separated themselves from God, the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross made a made eternal life available for us. Romans
5:8 God so loved us that "while we were yet sinners" he still sent Christ to die for us. Romans
10:9 The gift of Eternal Life is a free, only God asks each of us to (1) Repent of our sin, (2) Confess Jesus Christ as Lord of life and (3) Believe God has raised Christ from the dead. God has made these promises in the Bible that anyone who accepts Christ as Savior shall be saved for Eternal Life. Romans
10:13 You
can accept Christ at this moment, this very moment, with a prayer confessing
your need for Jesus Christ and accepting Christ as your Savior. Say that
prayer and be saved today. That is
the beginning.
